Who we are
Abilivo is an early-stage tool that evaluates evidence for merit-based US immigration petitions (EB1A, O-1, NIW). It is operated by an independent founder. We are not a law firm and the service is not legal advice. See Terms for details.
What we collect
- Demo evaluations: the profile, lens, venue tier, timeline, and paper/evidence content you submit are transmitted to Anthropic (our AI provider) for processing and the response is returned to your browser. We do not save the inputs or outputs on Abilivo servers. No database write happens after an evaluation completes.
- Rate-limit metadata: we store your IP address + the current UTC date in Upstash Redis for up to 24 hours so we can enforce daily demo limits. This data is deleted automatically after 24 hours.
- Cost tracking: we store a running daily spend total (a single number) in Upstash for up to 48 hours. No personal data attached.
- Request-access form: if you fill out the form that appears after hitting the daily demo limit, we collect your email and any optional name/message you type. This is forwarded to the founder via Resend.
- Operational logs: Vercel automatically captures request logs (endpoint, status, latency, country code, user-agent). We use these to debug failures. These logs do not include paper content, profile text, evidence, or your Anthropic API key. Retention is 3 days on our current Vercel plan.
What we don't collect
- We do not store the content of the papers, resumes, or evidence you submit.
- We do not store the AI's output beyond the active browser session.
- We do not track you across the web. There are no third-party analytics scripts, no cookies for tracking.
- We do not sell, share, or rent any data to third parties (other than the operational subprocessors below).
Third parties (subprocessors)
To run the service we use:
- Anthropic (anthropic.com) — the AI model that performs the evaluation. Your inputs are transmitted to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy and data-retention practices apply during that transmission. We use Anthropic's API in pay-per-call mode, not the consumer Claude product.
- Vercel (vercel.com) — hosts the website and the API functions.
- Upstash (upstash.com) — Redis store used only for rate limiting + daily spend totals. No content stored.
- Resend (resend.com) — sends rate-limit alert emails to the founder and delivers request-access form submissions.
- Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — DNS provider for the abilivo.com domain.
Each provider has its own privacy policy — link out and read theirs if you'd like the full picture.
Bring-your-own-key (BYOK) mode
If you use BYOK mode (you supply your own sk-ant-... Anthropic key), your key is transmitted via HTTPS to our proxy, used once to call Anthropic, and discarded. We do not log, store, or persist your API key. If this isn't acceptable, don't use BYOK mode — use the free demo or call Anthropic directly without going through Abilivo.
Your choices
- You can use the service without providing any contact information. No account, no email, no payment.
- If you submit the request-access form and later want your email removed, contact us and we'll delete it.
International users
Abilivo is operated from the United States. If you are in the EU or another jurisdiction with stricter privacy laws (GDPR, etc.), be aware that submitting evidence sends it to US-based providers (Anthropic, Vercel, Upstash, Resend). We do not currently offer a data-residency option. If this is unacceptable for your case, don't submit through the demo.
Changes
If we change how data is handled, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date.
